Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of taroscope, operated by 這里多媒體有限公司（VIRLLAGE CO., LTD.） (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. What we offer

taroscope is an interactive card-drawing studio and a decision-exploration tool. You draw cards, write a question, and explore your own thinking through a draw-and-reflect experience. Random combinations of the classic tarot deck's many card meanings sketch the shape of a decision and spark the decision-maker's deeper motives.

The product is digital entertainment / interactive content. It is not:

• fortune-telling, psychic reading, prophecy, or a promise about the future
• a guaranteed outcome or professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise)
• gambling, a lottery, or a game of chance for money
• adult content

The cards and questions are prompts for self-reflection and conversation. Do not treat results as your only real-world decision guide. If you have a real-life concern, seek qualified professional help.

2. Accounts

You may sign in with email (PING code) or Google. You must agree to the house rules, these Terms, and the Privacy Policy before we send a PING code or write a sign-in cookie.

Keep your PING code and account access to yourself. We may refuse or close accounts that abuse the service or violate these Terms.

3. Pentacles (usage credits)

Paid items are prepaid in-app usage credits called Pentacles. They are not gambling stakes, loot boxes, or tradable currency. A credit is consumed when you start a session or continue a conversation.

What a purchase pays for:

1. Removing ads from the experience (primary)
2. Covering model / API traffic for optional AI-assisted interpretation of card meanings — not a divinatory service fee

Signed-in users also receive a limited free quota. Buying credits is optional and primarily unlocks ad-free use. Remaining usage covers optional AI card-meaning assistance.

Credits are for personal use on taroscope (and other VIRLLAGE services we say they can be shared with). They have no cash value outside the service and cannot be transferred or sold.

4. Payments and refunds

Prices and available packages are shown on the Market page before you pay. Payment is processed by third-party providers. We do not store your full card number.

If a payment succeeds but credits are not added, contact us with the order details. Unused purchased credits may be reviewed for a refund at our discretion and as required by applicable consumer law. Credits already consumed for a session or conversation are generally not refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service to harm others, break the law, or request illegal content
• attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows
• resell access, credits, or generated output as a fortune-telling or guaranteed-advice business

We may suspend access if these rules are broken.

6. Optional AI-assisted card-meaning assistance

Optional AI-assisted interpretation of card meanings is generated with automated systems. It can be incomplete, inconsistent, or wrong. It is a thinking aid for exploration and entertainment only — not a psychic or fortune-telling service.

7. Intellectual property

taroscope, its design, software, and brand materials belong to us or our licensors. You keep rights in the questions you type. You grant us a limited licence to process that content so we can run the service.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for decisions you make after using the cards or interpretations, or for outages, data loss, or third-party payment issues beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
